Starting Out

     Alright! This is my first time blogging, mostly so that friends and family can hopefully keep up with me while I travel. The first big trip is coming up in a few weeks. I'll be traveling to Varna, Bulgaria for two weeks to perform in an opera.
I know Bulgaria is somewhat of a random country to go visit, but it's going to be amazing...hence, Allison's Amazing Adventures. 
     For those who don't know, like my Mom who thought this country was located near Morocco, Bulgaria is located in Eastern Europe. I'll be staying in Varna which is right on the Black Sea, and is as far east as you can go before heading to Russia or the Middle East. Bulgaria is where the Europeans go to vacation when all the Western tourists go to vacation in western Europe for the summer :) 
Random facts: according to my travel book, Bulgaria is known for its yogurt, wine and folk music.
